Dear Mom,

Yours Truly

Dear Reader,

I am sorry, today’s might be a little too personal of a letter.

I want to declare my love towards my mom to the world as a lover wishes to do it.

So please bear with it.

Dear Mom,

This one is for you.

Happy retirement.

I am so happy that you have reached this milestone of yours. And I am grateful to all the people who have arranged such an excellent event for you.

As I saw all the efforts, they put into doing it,

Mom, I must say, you are loved and cherished by many.

As a daughter of yours, I feel proud.

We might not always say this often to you. But today I am taking this opportunity to say it.

I love you, and I respect you a lot.

No matter how many arguments or disagreements we have, your presence in my life is the greatest strength for me.

Whatever hardships life might bring, I am sure I will overcome it if I have you with me.

I am sorry for the disappointments that I might have caused to you.

But please never question your upbringing.

I don’t think anyone else would have done a better job than you and have given your best.

I am sorry for causing tears; I promise to create more happy moments for you.

Words are not enough to explain the love and gratefulness I have for you.

Thank you for being there for me, for giving me the wise pieces of advice and the words of support when needed.

You are my role model, my best friend and my guiding light at the end of my dark tunnel.

If rebirth exists, I would always like to reborn as your daughter.
